جائزة كتاب الأطفال (Asian Children’s Book Award)

تعلن (Genting Singapore) و (National Book Development Council) عن فتح باب المشاركة بجائزة كتاب الأطفال (Asian Children’s Book Award).

The Asian Children’s Book Award seeks published children’s picture books written, illustrated, and translated by authors, illustrators, and translators living in Asia and of Asian descent. Entries can be submitted in English or their original languages, but if no official English translation exists, a rudimentary English translation should accompany the title for the purposes of evaluation.

The creator(s) of the winning book will receive SGD$30,000 in cash: SGD$10,000 for the writer(s), SGD$10,000 for the artist(s), and SGD$10,000 for the translator(s) (in the case where no official translation exists, the SGD$10,000 translator prize would instead be used as grant to the publisher of the winning book to translate the book into English or a native language of the winning book’s home country), and be invited to attend the award ceremony at the 2017 Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) in Singapore, which will be held 17-21 May 2017.

You can find the official entry form, the complete rules and regulations, and an EDM in English attached to this email, all of which can be sent to your contacts. Interested parties can also visit http://bookcouncil.sg/awards/afcc-asian-childrens-book-award for more information, and downloadable copies of the attached documents.

  • Closing of submissions: 6 January 2017
  • Announcement of shortlist to press: April 2017
  • Announcement of winners during AFCC 2017 at the National Library Building in Singapore: mid May 2017
